Animal Emergency & Specialty Center is a well-respected referral and 24-hour emergency service serving eastern Tennessee. With locations in Knoxville and Chattanooga, we are a vibrant, growing practice, dedicated to progressive medicine that enjoys the support of our community.
Our already bustling emergency and critical care service with 5 full-time ER vets, a residency-trained criticalist, and a well-trained support staff still offers the opportunity for a criticalist to make his or her mark. Animal Emergency & Specialty Center is led by the highly-regarded oncologist Dr. Jeff Phillips. Since taking the role of Specialty Director, Dr. Phillips has expanded the specialty team and is a driving force for expanding clinical trials and our relationships with UT and LMU.
We have an established rotating internship program and a new program to support and teach fourth-year veterinary students and veterinary technician students.
