Lexington Equine Surgery & Sports Medicine currently offers 1-2 surgical internships yearly. The internship is available starting July 2017 through June 2018. The internship is intended to provide each intern with the foundation to pursue a residency program or enter private practice.
Primary responsibilities will include diagnostics and care of hospital patients, diagnostic imaging, assisting with lameness exams, assisting with surgery, anesthesia, medical procedures, and limited emergency duty. Interns will also assist in our imaging center consisting of Nuclear Scintigraphy and standing MRI.

Additional Salary Information: Housing is available to interns. Additional benefits include: Dental & health insurance and paid professional fees for Kentucky veterinary license, AVMA membership, and professional liability insurance.
