Horse Power Veterinary Center (HPVC), in co-operation with Western Galilee Veterinary Center (WGVC) is offering a unique12 to 18 month-long private Equine internship program that incorporates also small animal practices, starting June 2017.
The program is designed to allow newly graduated veterinarians or veterinarians that have already gained experience, who want to focus on sports medicine to develop and improve their diagnostic and therapeutic skills, to accumulate substantial clinical experience, to learn the art of client communication skills and to manage clinical cases in their entirety.
The internship is focused on intensive clinical cases exposure, emphasizing activities in equine sport medicine and surgery, including principles of private veterinary business management. Our equine facilities and premises are in par with the highest world standards and are the only private equine surgery room in Israel, initially planned and built to this level.
The program is tailored to the highest standard, was designed and run in consultation with Dr. Michael Spirito from Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. We believe that experience in small animal private practice (~10% of the total time) enhances and facilitates acquiring manual skills and differential diagnosing of internal medicine conditions required to the future equine veterinarian. Therefore our Internship program includes small animal work so we could perfect the complex and intricate skills required by leading equine veterinarians of today.
Variety, complexity and volume of clinical cases are the corner stone of any training program. Horse Power Veterinary Centre is very proud to in its consistent and sustainable case load
