Associate veterinarian needed for a busy small animal practice in one of the top five growing communities in the US. Well established free standing hospital with well trained staff, very well equipped and well situated in an attractive residential area. Located in Central Florida we are only 35 minutes from downtown Tampa or Orlando area attractions and about a 45 minute trip to the beach! Low cost of living combined with easy access to city attractions makes our area a very pleasant place to live and there is still nearby rural acreage, nature areas, cattle ranches and horseback facilities.
We are equipped with color doppler ultrasound, digital whole body DR radiology, digital dental radiology, dental workstation, Companion laser therapy, full in house lab including chemistry, electrolytes, CBC, blood typing, hormone assays, respirator, MMP and Securos ACL therapy, stem cell therapy, acupuncture, fluid warming, fluid pumps, monitors, nebulizer and much more. Paperless computer record keeping has been in use for 15 years, radiology and ultrasounds are viewed easily by clients in exam rooms. Expansion of facility planned to start within the next year.
Our clientele is generally accepting of excellent medical care, surgery, and diagnostics. We use Antech outside reference laboratory extensively as well as other pathology resources. We provide some exotic care, mostly rabbits, sugar gliders, small mammals, birds, PBP.
Excellent opportunity for buy in for the right veterinarian is possible. Salary will be minimum of $70,000 for a new grad or higher based on experience (full time); moving expense assistance, licenses, CE, insurance covered for full time associate, percentage covered for part time associate. Mentoring available in a scheduled manner for less experienced DVM so that confidence and competence in practice are achieved. Good communication skills with clients is emphasized. Two week vacation after one year, maximum 40 hr work week but schedule is flexible.
DVM license for Florida or soon eligible
Available to work minimum of 24 hrs/week
