Acorn Hills Animal Center / Amador Veterinary Emergency Clinic is seeking compassionate veterinarians to join our progressive and expanding practice. Motivated new and recent graduates are encouraged to apply! We are a privately owned practice nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills. We are less than an hour away from Sacramento, and 2 hours from Lake Tahoe and not much farther to Yosemite! Our area is great for fishing, horseback riding, skiing, water sports and much much more! And let’s not forget our many wineries that offer award winning wines (comparable to Napa County).

The ideal candidates will have the desire to grow with our practice and build bonds with our community, be client-oriented with strong client education skills, compassionate, dedicated, and must have some surgical proficiency with spays, neuters, mass removals, dentistry and have a strong interest in pet wellness. Our loyal clientele enjoys high quality medicine. We offer idexx in-house lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, surgical monitoring equipment, water therapy, in-house pharmacy and a fabulous team!!

We are seeking veterinarians to fill full-time or part-time positions. The selected applicants will be expected to provide emergency consultation and treatment services during and after hours. The clinic is open Monday – Friday 8-6 and Saturday 9-2 with on-call emergency appointments seen after hours and Sundays.

Compensation is commensurate with experience. The clinic will pay dues for DEA licensure, veterinary licensure, and continuing education courses.
