Puppy Haven Rescue is seeking a licensed veterinarian to serve as our part-time DVM for our in-house vaccine clinic. This position is an excellent fit for a relief veterinarian, retired practitioner, or anyone looking for flexible hours in a low-pressure environment.
About the Role:
You will be the sole veterinarian on-site, responsible for conducting wellness exams and administering core vaccines to:
Dog currently in our rescue program
Recently adopted puppies finishing their vaccine series
There are no surgeries, no client communication, and no medical recordkeeping involved. Our trained staff and volunteers will assist with handling and logistics.
Schedule:
Flexible hours
3-5 hours per week (or every other), depending on need and your preference
Hourly compensation
This is a rewarding opportunity to help vulnerable dogs in a calm, focused setting without the demands of a full clinical caseload.
Requirements:
DVM or equivalent with valid Oklahoma veterinary license
Reliable, communicative, and efficient
Comfortable working independently
Embrace low-stress handling and knowing how to build trust through gentle, patient care
Passion for rescue animals
