Kentucky Equine Athlete Hospital, part of Equine Athlete Veterinary Services (EAVS), is seeking an experienced Equine Reproductive Associate to join our growing ambulatory and referral practice just outside Louisville, Kentucky.
EAVS was founded with the goal of providing progressive, high-quality equine veterinary care while supporting a collaborative and clinician driven culture. Over the years, EAVS has continued to grow into a multi-doctor practice focused on advanced diagnostics, sports medicine, surgery, reproduction, and exceptional ambulatory care throughout the region. Our team values professionalism, mentorship, innovation, and strong client relationships while maintaining a practical, team-oriented approach to daily practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to build and expand a high-quality reproductive service within a well established surgical and sports medicine hospital. We are looking for someone motivated to grow a progressive reproduction program while working alongside a collaborative team of experienced clinicians.
ABOUT THE PRACTICE
KEAH is a full service equine surgical and ambulatory hospital with:
- 7 full-time veterinarians and annual internship program
- Advanced imaging including MRI, PET Scan, Nuclear Scintigraphy, and dynamic endoscopy
- Full-service in-house laboratory including Coggins testing
- Strong referral caseload in sports medicine, lameness, surgery, and emergency care
- Established ambulatory clientele with growing demand for advanced reproductive services
Our ambulatory team currently provides:
- Mare and stallion reproductive services
- Embryo transfer and flushes
- General wellness and herd health care
- Sports medicine and lameness services
- Emergency coverage
- Acupuncture and chiropractic care
This position offers a unique opportunity to help grow and develop an expanding reproductive program while working within a progressive, multi-doctor practice.
Responsibilities Include:
- Mare and stallion reproductive management
- Embryo transfer and reproductive services
- Advanced reproductive procedures including OPU (experience preferred)
- Oviduct flushing and fertility management
- Ambulatory reproductive and general practice services
- Client relationship development and referring veterinarian communication
Mentorship of interns and externs
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Experience in equine reproduction required
- OPU experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Team-oriented with an interest in practice growth and mentorship
